Security and Write Protection

[ HW Write Protection ]
For the SQFlash products which support HW write, there's a 2-pin header mounted
and connected to controller reserved GPIO for the drive write protection. When
the pins are opened (or jumper off), the write protection will be activated.

[ SW Write Protection ]
SQFlash can also activate SW write protection through ATA command. When the
write protect function is enabled, any write command will write data to a buffer
area without real programming to the Flash IC. Therefore, the data won't be saved
in this mode and will be totally discarded after the power shut down.

[ Flash lock ]
Lock the SQFlash storage device to a certain motherboard/system through the
UUID. When the Flash lock is enabled, your SQFlash device cannot boot up or
be read or on any other motherboards/systems.

[ Self test ]
SQFlash Utility can activate SMART self-test to your SQFlash storage devices. Short
self-test checks the electrical and mechanical performance as well as the read
performance of the disk, with a time limit. While Long/Extended self-test scans the
entire disk surface, with no time limit.
